At just 18 years old, Michael was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy, a degenerative, incurable muscle wasting disease. Nineteen years on, Michael became the first disabled person to lead expeditions to both the North (April ‘02) and the South Poles (Jan ‘04). As a speaker, Michael’s strength lies in his emotional force and ability to influence behavioural change. He moves people to a place of action.
