As the visionary founder of ZLX Ltd, established in 2019, Stephen has propelled the company to prominence in the realm of R&D tax credits. Under his stewardship, ZLX has evolved into a highly specialized firm, comprising a team of engineers, solicitors, and tax specialists, all dedicated to maximizing claim value for small and medium-sized enterprises while adhering to stringent regulatory standards.
Prior to ZLX, Stephen held prominent leadership roles, including Managing Director of Yamato Ltd, where he orchestrated an extraordinary 300% increase in sales turnover and an 800% rise in profitability. At Ulma Automation Ltd, a joint venture with Spain’s largest industrial group, he pioneered their global automation division, transforming it from inception into a £50 million global enterprise. Earlier in his career, he founded Rynex Automation Ltd, which grew to become one of the UK’s leading suppliers of robotic production lines.
Stephen’s illustrious career began in marine engineering with Shell Tankers UK Ltd, where he cultivated a profound expertise in electrical and mechanical engineering. He holds degrees and diplomas from Strathclyde University and the Marine College of Glasgow.
