Director General of Customer Services,
His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs
Myrtle Lloyd is the Director General of Customer Services in His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs. Myrtle was appointed as Director General for Customer Services in January 2021 with overall responsibility for delivering consistency in HMRC’s customer services and for providing customers with the joined-up support they expect, across all channels, and in ways that best suit them. With around 22,000 colleagues supporting all personal and business taxes across the UK, as well as payment of benefits (on behalf of DWP).
Before joining HMRC, Myrtle was the Chief Operating Officer at Her Majesty’s Passport Office, as well as Registrar General for England and Wales.
Prior to joining the Civil Service, Myrtle worked in the private sector for over 10 years in Asia, the Middle East, the UK and North America.
