Stewart Watkins is the Managing Director and Co-founder of Lighthouse IT, bringing more than 25 years of experience across the IT and technology sector. With a career built around delivering practical, reliable and secure technology solutions, Stewart has developed extensive expertise in supporting organisations of different sizes and across a range of industries.
Alongside his role at Lighthouse IT, Stewart currently serves as IT Manager for the British Printing Industries Federation (BPIF), the Association of Business Recovery Professionals (R3), and the Federation of Ophthalmic and Dispensing Opticians (FODO).
His work with these organisations involves overseeing IT infrastructure, user support, cybersecurity, cloud services and the wider technology environment, ensuring systems remain secure, resilient and fit for purpose.
Stewart’s professional background began in IT support and has evolved over more than two decades into a broad technical and strategic skill set.
A key area of Stewart’s expertise is helping businesses understand and manage the increasing risks associated with cybersecurity. With his background in IT and technology, Stewart takes a practical approach to AI, focusing on where it can genuinely add value while also understanding the importance of security, privacy and responsible use.
